Stephen Palluel; Maître Rôtisseur
At a ceremony at the end of last month held at the Chateau de Brissac, Stephen Palluel, was inducted as a member of the Chaine de Rôtisseurs.
A few days ago, July 7, he received his plaque, his badge and the Grand cordon at his home, Chateau de La Celle-Guenand.
The chateau offers B&B and self-catering accommodation. Evening meals are served by reservation in advance. It is the quality of its rooms and its meals that is recognized by this inauguration.
Founded in 1248, during the reign of Saint-Louis, the Corporation des Rôtisseurs had been given the privilege of roasting geese. Beginning in 1950, the corporation restructured to become The Brotherhood of the Chaine des Rôtisseurs. The brotherhood brings together enthusiasts of the culinary arts and the pleasures of the table, whether they are hotel professionals, restaurateurs, chefs or sommeliers, or indeed amateurs.
